Kindle in the US also scheduled for 5/31.

I'll be downloading it as soon as I get home that day, or at lunch time. Can't wait for it.

Amazon says mine has not shipped yet, with a June 2 delivery estimate (2-day ship). Bought it in March; looking forward to it.

Just did a search in the kindle store and right enough it's there. Odd that there is no link to the kindle page from the paperback page like there usually is. On pre-order now. Woohoo.

Picked it up today but I've got a quick question I'm hoping one of you guys can answer: I read Unworthy but left my copy in another city. Thing is I'm embarrassed to say I have forgotten a few things about the book. I remember enjoying it immensely but have forgotten details like why there is a Starfleet fleet in the Delta Quadrant. There are a couple of other details I've forgotten as well.

Will I be a bit lost or does Bayer bring us up to date on recent events? In short could CotS be a bit of a standalone if you know what I mean?

There are parts of Children that take place towards the end of Unworthy, but the majority is set directly afterwards. I haven't read Unworthy since its release, but the continuing subplots were brought up in such a way that I had no problem catching up with the plot.

I suppose it couldn't hurt to read a summary of Unworthy to get the relevant information, but you should be able to enjoy Children regardless.

I finally found a reseller willing to send it on amazon.de and will hopefully get it in June.
I loved Full Circle and Unworthy and now I can't wait to know what happens next !

Yeah, Amazon do have their moments. I'd been trying to pre order one of the Vanguard novels, but when you click on Kindle edition, it takes you to one of the older novels. I'll have to see if they've fixed that yet

Really enjoyed this. Trek books have been so poor of late that this was a very pleasant surprise.

Personally I thought Unworthy was a bit of a let down after Full Circle but this was much stronger - full of interesting characters and events.

One thing I really liked was

Slightly concerned about future books as I have no interest in the evil hologram storyline but overall the relaunch has been very high quality and I hope we get more from Voyager novels from Bayer.

Now if only DS9 could get this kind of ongoing focus.

One thing I really liked was After Destiny and early on in this book it looked like the Children Of The Storm would be the new ongoing bad guy but instead the book went in a completely different direction and a positive relationship was established. After the constant doom and gloom of late it's a refreshing change Slightly concerned about future books as I have no interest in the evil hologram storyline but overall the relaunch has been very high quality and I hope we get more from Voyager novels from Bayer. Now if only DS9 could get this kind of ongoing focus.
