Favorite Comic Based Superhero TV Shows

I was just curious to see what everyone's favorite comic based superhero TV shows are.
Of the ones I've seen so far, I'd rate them:
1.Batman TAS
2.Smallville
3.The Spectacular Spider-Man
4.Wolverine and the X-Men/Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes
5.Birds of Prey
6.Blade: The Series/ Linda Carter Wonder Woman (So far all I've seen of these two is the pilot so they're automatically last).
Pick as many as you want, those are just all of the ones I've seen lately and are fresh in my mind.

What's Super Powers? I looked it up on wikipedia, but nothing came up.

It was a Saturday morning cartoon in the 80s--its full name might have been Super Powers Galactic Guardians.

Blade: The Series turned out to be a lot better than anticipated with an actual thought-out story arc for the season. Granted, the character of Blade wasn't very interesting and Krista was basically the star.

Batman: The Animated Series is probably the best. Smallville would not be anywhere on my list of good TV shows, let alone good superhero TV shows.

I'm kinda surprised no one has mentioned The Adventures of Superman starring George Reeves, or as my dad calls him, the real Superman.

It's kinda unfair to put animation and live-action into the same boat here, as animation can allow itself to be closer to the source material with not thinking to much about how to do superpowers and costumes on a budget. So I'll rate them seperately.

Animation:

1. Justice League / Justice League Unlimited
2. Batman TAS
3. Superman TAS
4. Spectacular Spider-Man
5. Young Justice

Live Action:

1. The Flash
2. Lois & Clark (although the last two seasons were kinda crap)
3. Batman
4. SV (although about 70 percent of it is crap)
5. Toei's Supaidaman (now, THAT was a fun show)

I loved the live action The Tick when I watched it online a year or two ago. I completely forgot about it, and that it was based on a comic book when I first made up my list. I was really suprised when I started it and found out that Batmanuel was Richard from Lost, and Captain Liberty was Wendy from CSI.

I agree that nothing can top "Batman: The Animated Series", but where's the love for the "X-Men" show from the '90s? That show is the main reason I still get excited every time there's a new X-Men movie (that, and the fact that "X2: X-Men United" is the greatest comic book movie of all time ).

It wasn't as beautifully animated as "Batman: The Animated Series" and lacked the power, consistency, subtlety, and maturity of that show's best episodes, but it also had some absolutely first-rate voice casting and some of its story arcs (i.e. Apocalypse, time travel) were written and presented with surprising thoughtfulness, creativity, and intelligence.

You're absolutely right! How could I have forgotten about that? I grew up on that show and I have the dvd sets.

Awesome, at least the first couple of seasons.

There's also the Superman TAS series of the '90s.

4. Superman (90s, yes! I liked S:TAS more than B:TAS!!!)
