Re: Bringing back to life the Apollo Class

I know that I have a huge backlog, but... I simply could not help myself.
When at work, I had an idea, so, in my lunch hour played a bit with her in sketchup, which I have installed in my old pc (a PIII with 512 RAM). I got the result attached, which I believe that has potential and, later, I´ll have to come back for her in 3ds max. Forget the dirty kirkythea renderings, cause I´m still learning how to use it.

This is pretty interesting, I like the Klingon vibe I'm getting from the underside...

Hey, I wasn´t seeing her by this way but, now you mentioned, yes, that half sphere and hole at the front makes me remeber the klingons. K´apla!

It´s alive...............
One year later, updates!

I think I did a good setup for the torp launcher this time. Naceles and "ass" still needs some refinements, as details still needs to be added all around. The green bits are placeholders.

Again, changed the neck. The previous one was to much "thin".
The sec hull was rebuild too, and added things here and there.

Brilliant! The neck is definitely much improved by making it thicker. Love this thing!
