If this gonna be the final cover, it's the best one yet!

That's the U.S.S. Saggitarius, the scoutship assigned to Vanguard.

The registry on that Daedalus-class ship doesn't fit with my memory of the Lovell...

I can't even SEE registry numbers. There's a good chance it's the Lovell, though -- there are only three used by the S.C.E.

nickyboy, considering that's Doug's wordpress site, I say you don't have the permission to hotlink to that image. Next time please save it to your own site and then link.

They're both Federation ships, the top one is the Lovell (or maybe not apparently). It's the 23rd century SCE ship from the SCE series, and the earlier Vanguard books.

Re: Vanguard Book 6 cover

there is no registry on the Lovell. the other one is clearly the Sagittarius as the number is barely visible.

I can see the registry. looks like 1894. the 9 is skewed but to me clearly visible, the 4 you can just barely make out the pointed top that looks like an "A" which means it has to be a "4".

Re: Vanguard Book 6 cover

The cover image looks awesome, although, technically, this would be Book 7, since the novella compilation Declassified is the 6th book in the series.
