Old Thread:

YES, I am planning to continue this, however my original plan was to set the next chapter on the DS9 reboot novels. However, with the massive time jump & cast changes, I've decided to toss that idea out.

So where should my plucky SI officer go for her first field assignment? Preferably somewhere boring so I can have her bitch about having nothing to do....

Re: Starfleet Intelligence

Perhaps she's quasi-retired on a sabatical, helping out on a project somewhere to keep busy (such as a Cardassian horticultural project,) or home on Earth, assisting a friend from high school/college/university with a new baby.

Something simple, like a journey of self-exploration. Trying to figure out who she really is. Trying things she might want out of life that her assignments with S.I. just don't provide opportunities to look at, in-depth or otherwise.

Or perhaps decided to try her hand at a horizontal move / momentary change of pace to a Starfleet Transport Command assignment, headed out to the frontier to assist with Academy Graduate training, reconstruction and colonization efforts after David Mack's "Destiny" novel "Lost Souls".
