This is so touching... and true

I was on another forum (Bungie.net) and someone made a thread about this amazing video, and so I thought I'd share it here. The video is of a really hot chick who is trying to overcome self-harm and is getting harassed, and she's trying to tell people to think before they speak or act, since they may not realize it, but they are hurting other people.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5QJa5NLaCU

inb4 some troll says that her problems aren't real because there are starving people in Ethiopa who have it worse

Also, at 2:40 there is a cat in the background that jumps across the screen.

The greater problems of other people are cold comfort when you are suffering. Especially when you're a kid.

ETA: really hot?! I hope to God you're in the appropriate age bracket to feel that way about the child.

She's a cute kid. I hope she learns that she is a beautiful person, no matter what mean people say.

It is very true that words can hurt. I was told many of those same things as a kid. I really thought I was totally worthless... until I found a friend who let me know that they were wrong... and that I was a cool person. It made all the difference between wanting to die and wanting to live.
