SD Comic Con Sells Out in 1 Day

Tickets for the 2011 San Diego Comic Con went on sale today (Feb. 5) at 9 AM Pacific time.

Despite server problems that have become all too common with the Comic Con organization, all tickets sold out before the day was done. 4-day passes and single-day passes for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are gone.

I do believe they've set a new record.

I finally live within a few hours... and I can't even get a frickin day pass.

Ah, well... money saved, I guess.

Because, the Twilight people would have annoyed me.

There's going to be a display that will show all of Clark's superpowered fights in order. The total runtime is about 3 minutes long.

Twilight fans seem to get blamed with clogging up San Diego the past few years; so that's a potential accelerant. It will be interesting to see if things make any significant change once Twilight movies are out of production.

Honestly the big major panels are dominated by film and television shows...but the big comic book panels are still packed and there are workshops and individual speakers over the weekend. It is on my bucket list to attend San Diego one year...but man doesn't look like it will be possible with these quick sell outs year after year. It just continues to become bigger and bigger.

We barely managed to get tickets to Thursday and Sunday.

Definitely going to get 2012's passes at the convention if at all possible.

Oh yeah. Though some of the big movies are set to release before Comic-Con, but they'll still probably have lots to sell there.
