Also, a trailer for this week's episode: Community does Law & Order.

BONG-BONG!
Loved this one!

A-awesome.

Really good episode this week, and I say that as someone that has never seen a single episode of L&O. That final scene with the phone was fantastic.

I think people are discounting a huge factor in this episode's awesomeness...Michael Ironside. Is there anything that isn't immediately made more awesome by his appearance?

I liked seaQuest 2032.

And wasn't it more awesome than season 2, at the very least?

Besides, though I missed Bridger, I really liked Hudson, as well.

Next, I'll defend Starship Troopers.

Rasczak's Roughnecks!

Re: Ongoing Community Discussion Thread

Funnily enough, I just bought tickets to the 15th anniversary screening of Starship Troopers for May 10. Ironside won't be there Oooh, Casper Van Dien... sci-fi's answer to Ryan Seacrest. Yay.

And I take back what I said about seaQuest, because you're right. 2032 was way better than season 2.

I enjoyed "Basic Lupine Urology" quite a bit -- but I gotta say, I think it was a little too perfect of a parody. I really felt more like I was watching an episode of Law & Order our characters had been plugged into than like I was watching an episode of Community.

That sir, is an insult to the good name and reputation of Ryan Seacrest.

Yes! That's it exactly!

Community excels at poking fun at the generalities of a genre, but this was almost too specific and it was a bit distracting seeing how accurate they got things. On one hand, that's a compliment, they NAILED it. On the other, it was a bit distracting and, really, kind of a cheat.

Re: Ongoing Community Discussion Thread

I think it was the credits that really pushed it over the line, but I enjoyed the hell out of it anyways.

Yeah, the parody was probably a little too close to the mark, but it was still damn fun to watch.

"I can also help. As psych major I can..."Bong-Bong

I ran this back three times, laughing like a fool. So many funny lines.

Hysterically funny episode. Loved Abed and Troy's good cop bad cop routine.

The streak of great episodes continues! I used to be a huge L & O fan, now I'm kinda over it, but I was laughing like crazy! I don't think it crossed the line, it just nailed it!

Awww, I had such a crush on Rosalind Allen in Season 2!

I hadn't seen an episode of Law & Order in over 10 years, but every little spot-on detail triggered a memory, "Oh, yeaaaah! They always did that!"
