I'll be lucky to get to a quarter of that total this year. I have too many TV shows on the PVR and on blu-ray I need to watch, not to mention some video games I want to get to.

Silent films, I think, are an acquired taste. Last year I watched The General (1926) and I was blown away. When I saw Tokyo no kôrasu [Tokyo Chorus] (1931) early in 2011 I truly became a fan of silent film and of Japanese director Ozu. Watching the German films Metropolis (1927) and Das Kabinet des Dr Caligari [The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari] (1920) has really cemented by appreciation for the genre.
