Short women can be hot, but I prefer they have a bit more meat on the bones. And Witherspoon's cuteness is more of the "I'd like to give her a friendly pat on the head" than "I'd like to give her a TSA pat-down" variety.

Well, if you photograph her in such extreme contrast that she shows no wrinkles whatsoever, against a solid background which gives no sense of her tiny stature and conceal, by virtue of a head-on angle, that she's still got her trainer rack... then yeah, I guess she can appear kinda hot, in a "she may only be in high school but if the circumstances were right and the law allowed it, I'd totally hit it" kind of way.

Hence the sideways.

A gal can be "hot" and still not appeal to someone...like me...I think Reese is attractive...but not my style...why is this hard to understand?

[edit] I gave her a down...but that doesn't mean she is ugly...she just doesn't appeal to me.

Yes, which in my book is a good thing, because I now have a better chance of actually recognising the actress being chosen, since more widely known ones can be picked with the removal of the genre restriction. More than half of the ones last year, I had no idea who they were.

I thought about this one for a while, and ultimately went sideways. She's undeniably pretty, and I've always liked her, but I always have trouble recognising her, until someone else tells me "oh, that's Reese Witherspoon." Unmemorable = sideways.

Witherspoon is still a genre babe of the week, but maybe not in the sense that she's been in sci-fi. She is one of us! She plays RPGs and loves Star Trek - if that ain't Sci-Fi, it'll hairlip the space pope.
