Character Review Thread: Coulson, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.

I think this guy is awesome!

Look at what he has to do to earn his gummint salary! He has to babysit super-smart rich playboys who fly around in battle armor! He has to ride herd on mystical hammers while Australian surfer boys toss his people around like "mall cops"! And then, just for fun, giant alien war machines come down outta nowhere and try to barbecue him!

Does he run away screaming? Does he quit and take a safer job wrestling alligators? I say thee, nay! He just treats it like a typical nine-to-five and wields the driest sense of humor I've ever seen in my life!

Agent Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D., I name you a Real American Hero!

guess i'll have to wait for the Black Widow and SHIELD movies though...

Agent Coulson likes to wear ladies' undergarments from time to time, but can still bang the hell out of his wife.

Agent Coulson is a Democrat, because only dopes and people like Obidiah Stane vote Republican.

Just for his "Call us Shield" line he will forever be one of the coolest supporting characters in Marvel.

For whatever reason during the entirety of Iron Man i didn't piece 2 and 2 together but when he said it i went nuts.

I love how he's portrayed as an utter pro taking shit from nobody.. he stands up to one of the richest guys in the world who designs his own battle suits like it was nothing and i hope his role in Thor matches that (haven't seen it yet).

Yes, that was awesome and also why i like this character so much (and the actor who plays him).

Just saw Thor.. while the movie left me unimpressed. Coulson sadly also didn't get any breakout scenes.. he was basically just running the Shield show as a manager and jumping out of the way of the Destroyer.
