November Challenge-Redemption
We've all made mistakes, some bigger then others. And sometimes they are real doozies. So what do we do when we commit these epic fails? Your mission this month, should you choose to accept it, is to create a story where a character or crew must seek redemption for something they've done. Perhaps a captain bent (or broke) the rules to do what he felt was morally right, but then wondered if it really was. Maybe a Starfleet Intelligence Operative got a little too under cover and is trying to find a way to redeem himself. Whether they succeed or not is entirely up to you, but what must they do to get there. I'm going to give this one 10,000 words, as I think something like this could go longer then our usual word limit. Heck, it could even go longer then that, but we don't want to many novels to read at once in a month. I'm also setting the deadline for December 2nd, 11:59 pm PST, as many of us will be in a coma for at least a couple days after this months holiday. Beyond that, any crew, any era, canon/fanon, it's all up to you. I look forward to reading what you guys come up with.

Re: November Challenge-Redemption
The idea is, they're convinced that they're effectively going through a sort of "penence" for what they did--and another character is trying to help them recover from it. I don't know if that goes well with what you're looking for...but what do you think?

But yeah, sounds like it would work fine.

Re: November Challenge-Redemption
Just checking...it can be anything so long as it's Trek, right?

Re: November Challenge-Redemption
One's at the very beginning, the other one is a character thinking back.

Re: November Challenge-Redemption
Also, with the change of perspective, you might consider playing with the dialog a little. We all remember things a little differently after all. Just a thought.
