Who's he?

I was checking my post count, still a long way from Vice Admiral, when I glanced at the box with the ten most recent visitors, including a Finn2 .

Is he out to kill me? Like Blablover5 did with the fourth one?

Have any of you had someone add a number to your username? Like Holdfast2, Doubleohsix or Trekker4748

Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Re: Who's he?

I've had people claim to be me on other sites twice (one creeped me out a little by using my real name), but they were both one-offs with no harm done. I've had nothing like that here.

I'm pretty weirded out that more than 3500 people have viewed my profile page since I joined TBBS. Am I really that awesome?

^It's usually an accident. I often accidently click on the poster who started a given thread, especially on my iPhone.

Yeah, thats just so annoying. I've developed a technique to avoid it though. Zoom in like hell every time you press something

and I've come across at least a two dozen ares93's in various boards. Should have kept my original name, ARE593...

You sure they didn't just have the same name as you? As creepy as it is, my last name isn't all that common, but when googling myself, I get an apparently high profile aboriginal politician in Australia with the same exact name. And he's much older than me. He kind of looks like he could be a wizard, complete with grey beard and all. He kind of looks like a combination of one of the ZZ Top members combined with Dumbledore and Gandalf. It's funny, but I've been tempted to email the guy on several occasions just for the laugh.

Actually, Blablover 4 mysteriously disappeared. It was Blablovers 1, 2, and 3 that were killed before ever posting. Blablover5 is the last, best hope for board peace.

Alright, on that note, I'm going to exit this thread. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I kinda did that to myself... my first username was mencc1701, an account which got lost in the Great Crash. So I named my new account mencc1701A.

And then I screwed it all up by renaming myself this...

Sometimes the mods like to get together and all visit someone's profile at once just to make them think they're in trouble. It's the little perks like that that make the job worthwhile.

(I kid, I kid)

There's another poster on the board with the user name locutus, but that's pretty commonplace for a name on a Trek board. However, we also had someone named Locutus of Board for a while, IIRC. He(?) disappeared before I was forced to destroy him, because...
