I wouldn't call Cat "fat", though I have in these threads. She does have a bit of a pudgy face that's fairly obvious when she wears her hair up. She annoys me so while she's certainly not fat and is a girl I'd be interested in, her squeaky, annoying, voice and character are enough to make me dislike her enough to call her "fat."

It's sort of like how you see a guy with a fat, ugly, woman and you wonder why he's with such a beast and someone says, "But he loves her. So it doesn't matter."

Same idea with Cat. She annoys me and makes my ears bleed so I'm going to exaggerate her flaws and size.

Yeah I'll agree about that...it's like they felt that they needed to have a character that was anti-hero or something. All of this being said I must say that I'm looking forward to "Abandonment". Lois's first trip to the Fortress and she meets the Julian Sands Jor-El and Helen Mirren is back as Lara. Not to mention Justin's wife Lindsay makes her Smallville debut!!!
Helen Slater, not Mirren

It's funny that everyone seems to think the only character aspect of Bridget Jones is the word "fat". I was thinking more along the lines of bumbling, shrill, fish-out-of-water, silly girl.

I must be the only person who likes Cat Grant. If we see her again...I hope they show her character growing. I think if Clark stepped out of the shadows...like she said a hero should do in "Shield" she would have a problem with Superheroes...she seems cool with Ollie/Green Arrow.

I still think she's meant to be more of an Elisabeth Hasselbeck type . . . .

If she comes back... I hope that AI Jor-El finds a way to re-open the Phantom Zone and she is banished there forever.

The show desperately needs Allison Mack to return... NOT more of Cat Grant.

Hmmm I can see the Elizabeth Hasselbeck comparisons, she'd be against "vigilante's" as well lol.

I don't care what anyone says...Cat Grant is awesome & saving this series...along with Tess...who we haven't seen much of. More Ollie and more Lois...it doesn't work...they aren't as interesting as they use to be...and Clark!?

Re: Smallville 10x05 "Isis" - Discussion and Spoilers

We've not seen much of Tess because her character arc has been tied with Clone Lex's and I'm betting that Cass will have more impact in the second half of the season. I'm starting to think that damn story is going to end up being true and we have a new deus ex machina revealed about her character, sigh. They should have fleshed out her character from the start and already knew what they wanted her to be. I think she's still controlled by Granny in secret, those tears weren't tears of relief or joy at the end when Clark and Ollie made her Watchtower 2.0

I thought so too.... tears because she knows she will and not just might.... betray them.

^ @AY
To be honest I don't think Tess has had someone(Ollie/Clark) put that much faith in her. It was nice seeing her take Cat's advice...reading Peter Pan to Alexander...and Cat gave advice to Clark in "Shield" and he steps out of the shadows in his red jacket...Cat is underestimated and hopefully we will see more of her.

[edit] I don't think she is controlled by Granny Goodness and if she betrays them(Ollie/Clark)...I will be disappointed.

Oh I can see that side of Tess but Jet you know more than anyone, this is "Smallville" all they have to do is write a few words and bam Tess is someone completely new "Who the fuck is this and what've you done with my Tess?" is something I've shouted at the TV several times over the past two years lol.

Yeah the powers that be in Smallville can ruin a character better than anyone.
