The book, The Secret History of Star Wars from Amazon. I bought it on our friend Admiral Young's recommendation. Well, not exactly his recommendation, but he told me that it was the definitive story on the story behind the series, and that was good enough for me.

Haier HDC1804TW 4-Place-Setting Tabletop Dishwasher

My new place didn't have a dishwasher, and I would have none of that! Just plugged the little thing up yesterday but it seems to work well.

Today I received my copy of Clara's Kitchen: Wisdom, Memories and Recipes from the Great Depression by Clara Cannucciari.

Some of you probbaly know Clara from her Great Depression Cooking videos on You Tube.

I bought the book mainly to read more her life rather than for the recipes.
Thanks for linking that, Miss Chicken. I hadn't heard of Clara before. Charming lady. And that's a great simple recipe. Makes a nice base for an omelet too.

I bought some Winnie-the-Pooh onesies for a friend's new baby and some Disney books for her elder sister who is sure to feel a bit ignored.

High Rhulain and Eulalia! by Brian Jacques. Only two more to complete my Redwall set. Well, that's if you don't count Taggerung, which is backordered.

A few loaves of cranberry-pistachio bread for my Dad. He loves it.

I tried a piece. BLEH. Not my favorite.

I got myself a new pair of summer shoes. I haven't had a pair of Palladium in ages!
They used to be a bit harsh on my feet, some 20 years ago... but to my surprise now they are making them -so- very comfortable.

Re: Your latest purchases, cont.

I had my hair cut today. Bought new trousers, top, handbag and shoes to wear to my mother's funeral (she died yesterday morning). Also bought a thumb splint because I have arthritis in my left thumb and it has caused a lot of pain in the last few days. Bandaging it helped but the splint is much better.

All up I spent about $150.
