Virginia right now is far too hot and sticky to be sporting a full head of hair. The less unnecessary sweating I have to do the better.

Not that hot around here - but it's been at least half a year since I shaved my head.

Been getting hair in my eyes a lot recently so it was time to do it.

The leftover remnants of Hurricane Isaac have made my area really muggy and uncomfortable for the past several days and I just threw up my hands, grabbed the razor and turned myself into a virtual cueball. I prefer to keep as much of my hair as possible because I've been thinning on top for many years, but there are some summers when a lot of head hair is just insufferable.

I'd prefer to be a skinhead (for comfort only; I can always wear a hat during winter, or a cap those three-four days the sun's out during summer) but the people around me seem to prefer a bit of hair on my head.

Early this morning I changed from you can't see my ears to this:

I cut off a lot of my hair this summer. I think I look better with it short.

I'll try to take pics the next time I have makeup on, but that might be quite awhile. I look better with long hair and this isn't too short, maybe between my chin and shoulders. I was growing it out for the wedding last weekend and I just needed to get rid of all the length.

I think that very few men aren't vastly improved by a buzz cut! Besides, it allows you to spend less time in the bathroom, therefore leaving your spouse more time in there!

I feel a thousand times better with a buzzcut at this time of year. When it's 95 degrees F outside with eighty to one hundred percent humidity having a scalp full of frizzy, shaggy hair pointing in a hundred and one different directions and sticking up like you've just been electrocuted is supremely irritating and feels kind of nasty.

I might look like Matthew Modine in the boot camp scenes of Full Metal Jacket but I feel so good and refreshed it doesn't matter.
