I bought a "cat chastiser" the other day! -it's actually just a can with a hand operated pump (like a window cleaner bottle that has never had any chemicals in it

); I can now spray water at the cat from several meters away

It works too! three times I've used it and the cat now doesn't play with my 'x-mas tree' any more.

My dad's Christmas presents arrived from amazon today- Alton Brown's Good Eats: The early years and the middle years. Both books come with DVDs. I'm sure Dad will like them- Alton Brown is one of his heroes.

For myself, I bought four mini American Girl dolls. I have five of them already, and they're on my Christmas tree. Eventually, I hope to have all 14!

Yes, I said it, I preordered the World Series before I even knew who would be playing in it. I'm a collector.
