That's not unreasonable. My grandparents (mom's parents) were 44(Grandma) and 46 (Grandpa) when I was born. And they were 39 and 37 when my uncle gave them their first grandchild seven years before I was born.

That's okay. If it helps you any, in my family, we started having kids around 16 or 17 (the grandma mnetioned above had my uncle at 16, and my uncle had my cousin mentioned above at 19.) My aformentioned grandparents both died at 66.
