Star Trek Online: TrekBBS Armada Allstar Championship

Hello to all Armada members, STO players and people who are genereally interested in the game.

TrekBBS Armada is a pretty sizeable fleet by now but a lot of people have been complaining about always being online alone anyway.

Reason enough for me to do something about that and make the whole fleet more active.

And now Cryptic has given me the means to do so with the new challenge feature.

As of now the fleet offers you THE TREKBBS ARMADA ALLSTAR CHAMPIONSHIP!

Any member of the fleet is allowed to participate.

Participants will be allowed to use alternate characters as well as alternate starships during the games. Also Klingons are allowed.

The main part of the tournament will be PvP challenges against each other.

Players will be paired roughly at the same level as close as possible.

Players will start in groups earning points with each win. Best players proceed to a knockout stage.

Challenges will both be space and ground based.

Although there might also be a few surprise non combat challenges.

As a final highlight of the games there will be a mass starship race at the end. Any player can participate there again with a handicap depending on his challenge results. The race can only be played by Federation characters since klingons are much more limited in movement.

Final Winner will claim the Fleet Title ARMADA ALLSTAR CHAMPION, eternal glory and fame as well as a special surprise.

If you feel that you are up to the challenge please enlist here. I hope enough people will to make this tournament possible.

Anybody who is not yet part of the fleet or a player of the game can still participate, if he or she notifies me in time for an invite.

If you dont want to compete but dont want to miss the event anyway you are welcome to help me as referees and organizers.

maybe up for it, depends when, I guess. Would be nice to see a few fleet members out and about. having another member around to help is so rare that it almost feels like cheating when you get a boost...

Event will probably take place through several weekends i would estimate. I doubt we can fit everything into a single one. I guess it must be weekends because most people have the most free time then. It's also easier to compensate for different timezones that way.

So if you like to join, just post your characters' names and handle so I can get an idea of scope and interest soon.

I'm up for this, sounds like a good idea! I've not played the game for a month or so as I've been away so need to freshen up a bit first!

I'm game too depending on the time. I haven't seen another member besides me in quite awhile.

One feature I think they should have is let it post in the chat box when someone comes online. I did that in WoW for my guildies and it made it much easier than having to check the Guild Tab all the time.

This is shaping up pretty good.
Just a few more, and this will be an actual event.

Those brave players who are willing to compete please post all you're current characters+level, so I can start matching you up in groups.

Federation versus Federation as well as Klingon versus Klingon and of course Fed v KDF are possble matches.

Hey, my laptop which I have Star Trek online on is in the shop for the next 3 weeks so that could affect my participating depending on when we do it, but I think I can find a tempt to play on until mine gets back if we do this before repairs are finished. Anyway my character is a grade 7 lieutenant commander.
