That's what I thought they'd go with.

I'm guessing we'll see Cobie in some kind of leather version of Maria's Shield uniform. I don't think we've seen an actual uniformed Shield agent yet come to think about it.

Loki may not be in the movie after all - the actor playing him in Thor, Tom Hiddleston, says he doesn't know if he's in it or not:

Interesting that it says Joss is still writing the script...continuous revisions still I guess? Was it reported before that Hiddelston was in the movie?

^ Not as far as I recall - it was largely assumed by fans.

Okay, for a second I thought this was another case of bad internet reporting.

tom's name was on a cast-sheet for extras, along with War Machine, which i commented on at the time since it wasn't long after Cheadle said he wasn't in The Avengers.

plus, it was also internet rumours, what with Loki being the antagonist in Avengers #1 and the rumoured secret trailer/clip of him with the Cosmic Cube...

I can't seem to find any information on this movie's estimated budget.

Does anyone have a guess here? Would the budget exceed $300MM?

This question needs to consider all movies adjusted for inflation, which is not completely straightforward.

If the formula in the wiki is correct, when adjusted for inflation, it's Cleopatra (1963).

According to Wiki,

Its Pirates III.

I was surprised, too.

99% of the movies with a budget of $150MM or more came in the last decade. Inflation doesn't figure that much into it. Titanic had the record of $200MM back in 1997. Adjusted for inflation, that would be about $268MM today.

It would appear that Cleopatra with a budget of $40MM in 1963 would take the cake. Adjusted for inflation, the budget would be equivalent of $308MM today.
