I think he looks a bit more Ruffalo-ish

Ok so Ferrigno was "smaller" than the comic book Hulk, but even in the mid-90s when he briefly competed again, he was 6'41/2" and competed at 311 pounds, 36 more pounds of pure muscle than the 70s Ferrigno. Wow At age 57 he recently appeared on the cover of Ironman Magazine: http://www.ironmanmagazine.com/site/lou-ferrigno/

I think Ruffalo resembles Bill Bixby more closely than Bana or Norton did. Not twins of course but closer featurely s.

Lou's makeup was partially designed to make him more look like Bixby. With the nose piece in particular.

So maybe intentionally or not with the overall proportions of this Hulk design and skin tone it does look both Ferrigno-ish and Ruffalo-ish to me.

I am glad Lou is returning to voice the Hulk. With Edward Norton out he is the only casting continuity for the character from the previous film.

Ruffalo reminds me of Bixby a bit as well, which is cool. I'm really looking forward to seeing his version of Banner in this film.

I'm pretty sure there was an interview with Joss a while back where he stated exactly that, that he was going for a Bill Bixby vibe with the Hulk this time around.

Good to hear. This is the third film appearance for Banner and the third actor to play him. While Captain America, Iron Man and Thor are all actors established in their roles.

After all these years Bill Bixby is the most well known version of Banner. Ruffalo probably won't have a lot of screen time to establish a unique take on the the role. Better to use Bixby as an inspiration.

Sure while in his normal state as Banner he is a brilliant scientist. Compared to the others characters he is also more of a normal guy. With a team like this its important to contrast the differences in the characters. Bill Bixby brought a sense of an everyman with a huge problem to the part. Which would work nicely here.

Actually Joss has stated that there is some kind of sub-plot between Bruce and Natasha, so it implies to me that Bruce will have significant screen time while they use Hulk in all the action shots. Plus Lou Ferringo is the voice this time around. I know that "The Incredible Hulk" gets a little bit of flak here, but I really enjoyed it, and as much as I was pissed regarding the Ed Norton incident, I've come around to being really excited to seeing Ruffalo as Banner. I'd love for them to do another film and keep Liv Tyler as Betty
