Is your glass half-full or half-empty?

You have a glass of water. That glass has 50% water and 50% empty space in it.

Is the glass half-full or half-empty?

I say it's half-empty. I guess that makes me a negative person .

Half-full, I'm the eternal optimist

(Edit: That's part of why I like Star Trek.)

Mine tends to be either overflowing or shattered on the floor.

There is no such property as emptiness, only degrees of fullness.

Re: Is your glass half-full or half-empty?

Depends:

If I'm in the process of filling it, it's ½ full, but if I'm in the process of emptying it it's ½ empty.

However; I 'voted' ½ full due to semantics; that's what it's called in Danish!

To the optimist, the glass is half full.

To the pessimist, the glass is half empty.

To the engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be...
