Was Matilda like an Omen movie sort'a?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117008/

Roald Dahl children's novel made into a movie during the mid nineties about a telekinetic who had an awful life and just wanted to...

Her last name was "Wormwood".

That's Revelations baby.

Matilda was the Antichrist who was going to grow up to bring about the Apocalypse and destroy the world surely?

Wow, it all makes sense now. That nice, sweet primary teacher who takes Matilda in is in fact the evil nanny sent from Hell, and Miss Trunchbull is the American ambassador trying to save us all.

The gorgeous Embeth Davidtz seen quite recently in Californication played the sweet and innocent role of Miss Honey in the motion picture Matilda...

Obviously the Whore of Babylon.
