Re: Spider-Man movie (casting, rumors, pix till release)

Emma Stone confirms that she's signed for multiple Spider-Man films (unless her comment is meant to be a misdirection as the article suggests knowing what we do about Gwen's fate). It also kind of maybe confirms my theory that the trilogy will have an ongoing arc...and not be three separate films.

I had to stop at that Cameron script when the movment of his hands was desciube as "Dance". Aweful. Though, on a plus side, it reminds me of that nifty dancing Spider-man gif.

Re: Spider-Man movie (casting, rumors, pix till release)

Here's a short update from Andrew Garfield, in which he confirms that Peter will still be a teen in the movie:

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=72655

"We started shooting two weeks ago and then we have Christmas off," Garfield said, "Then we're back into it for, gosh, a fair bit of time... I'm going to have to hibernate into this character for at least four or five months... I feel like a kid in my pyjamas. I can only say how it feels and it feels pretty special. It feels like a dream realized and a fantasy realized. Again, I don't take it lightly and I feel incredibly lucky that I get to wear spandex for the next couple of months."

When questioned about the physical workout required for playing the superhero, Garfield again confirmed that his take on Peter Parker is as a teenager:

"I think Spider-Man needs strength, but Peter Parker is still a teenager, you know? That's a very tender balance to figure out. It's very specific what we're trying to achieve in terms of body type and the feeling of that. Rest assured, there's a lot of people helping me with that because I have no discipline in that respect. My father's a swimming coach and I kind of rebelled against that very early on. Any kind of exercise routine has to be cracked with a pretty firm whip."

Hmm... I'm not sure I can buy Garfield as anything younger than 20. Let's hope "teenager" in this case means 18 or 19.

Re: Spider-Man movie (casting, rumors, pix till release)

Garfield played a Harvard student and looked like he could go younger if need be. I'm assuming when he means teen that he's talking about a high school senior/college freshman which Andrew has the looks for.

I just watched "Easy A" recently. I love Emma Stone to no end.

I've yet to see "Easy A" but have read and heard many good reviews, especially about her specifically. I fell in love with her in "Zombieland".

She was lovely in Zombieland. But just something great about her in "Easy A" where she seemed like just the girl you'd have a crush on in high-school. (And despite all logic in the movie she says she's never had any attention from boys in her highschool. Impossible to believe given how she looks in her gym uniform alone.)

Must be the quotation of the year. At least it's not Jack Black.

First pics of Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker on set kissing Gwen Stacy. I'm sold.

Can't say I'm sold on Garfield as Peter Parker. I get an "Edward from Twilight" vibe from him.

And, I dunno, I like Emma Stone better as a red-head.

Andrew has poofy hair. To me he totally has an Ultimate Peter vibe going on.

NOT Peter Parker. I can't even express how much that hair ruins it all.
Gwen Stacy is a WIN however.

We are all soooo going to wish Sony had had the patience to just let Sam Rami have that year he wanted and made a Spidey 4 with Vulture. In the end so is Sony.
