The show has a really interesting cast - Christopher Gorham, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Peter Galagher, Eion Bailey, Kari Matchett and Gregory Itzin (who I hope has a TON of screen time).
Also, Anne Dudek. (Amber from House.)

So I take it spies is the in thing this year?
Well the upcoming movie where James Bond, Ethan Hunt, Jason Bourne, Chuck Bartowski, Sydney Bristow, Simon Templar, Harry Tasker, Michael Westen and Evelyn Salt team up to hunt down Jack Bauer may sink or swim the entire spy genre.

I would so go and see that.
Indeed. Such a movie would be so full of win that I don't think a film could contain such awesomeness.

That movie would be spectacular. I'm calling it for Jack Bauer though. He can't be stopped. Ever.

It's great that you're also excited about the realism angle. With Liman producing and the CIA as the backdrop for the series, there's really a blank slate with regards to stories.

And, yes, we're really proud of the cast - Gallagher, Gorham and Perabo are all strong assets and the guest roles from Oded Fehr and Gregory Itzin will add some awesome flair - great guest stars are something USA shows always deliver on.

There's a new promo up as well, that you can check out: http://video.usanetwork.com/series/c...-peek/v1225989

This show has potential I think. I read that both Eriq LaSalle and Gregory Itzen are doing multi-episode guest shots.

The approach might be breezier than I'd hoped, but it's USA and we can hardly expect The Wire. I think it'll succeed based on the charm of its cast.

As far as the tone of the show goes, Liman is sure to give it an action-y feel and there were certainly be more than a few serious moments, as you can see in this sneak peek from the premiere.

Also... Christopher Gorham? In the CIA? As a tech expert?

Jake 2.0, anyone?

I think Gorham is going to be more the Best Bud/Obi-Wan character. Piper is playing a distaff version of Chuck Bartowski, but presumably her job will be more reality-based.

And yknow what? I bet new CIA agents really are gangly and goofy and big frak-ups. That's how real life works. It's the Jason Bourne fantasia that's the lie.
