^ The only way Wonder Years can come to DVD is if they replace all the music. I had no idea Cold Case has never been on DVD -- seven seasons, CBS crime drama, from Bruckheimer -- because it uses a lot of music to cue the timeframe. Music rights for broadcast are different than music rights for resale.
Yet again the reasons I hate the music industry. If greed exists as a corporate problem the music industry has it in spades over oil, banks and everyone else. Their lawyers have managed to fool the system that their product above others is deemed payable every single time. What a crock.
May not have to wait long... I've seen several musicians and music industry industry people being quoted lately saying that the industry is set to fail. One musician was saying just last week that new bands shouldn't sign contracts because it's a matter of months before the whole industry collapses.

Hadn't heard of her till I saw her in "The Big Bang Theory" and "How I Met Your Mother" and haven't seen her in anything else, but I liked her a lot in both. Nice-looking girl.

The problem stems from the fact that the Wonder Years was made before DVDs. At the time, nobody knew that collecting TV series on DVD would be a major industry, so they didn't even think of resale rights. They only thought about it as a one-time deal along with re-runs. Having it set in the 60's meant a lot of period music from popular bands of the era. So, that's why it's a problem now.

However with modern series such as Cold Case there really isn't an excuse as the sale of DVDs is usually another thought in the production process, with some series going to DVD even before the series has ended, so usually the rights are negotiated ahead of time when the music is selected.

I work with her sister. They both have that scared rabbit look, like someone's going to haul off and hit them.

I think WKRP In Cincinnati suffers from that same problem with music rights.

Danica McKellar is my second of three choices for this year. She's probably best known as Winnie Cooper from The Wonder Years...
Woah...

Thumbs up. Probably more so for the surprise in how she's grown up, rather than her absolute level of hotness (she's more cute than hot). But she's still pretty enough.

I don't get this. Like Pat Benetar couldn't use the publicity. Doesn't the music industry understand that a 20 second blurb of music on a show like WKRPs DVD could spark some interest in their back catalogs. Stupid, and short sighted.

You know, in two decades, I’ve never noticed her chin. But those sharp knees? Damn! I should have gone with someone else.

I don't remember the end of The Wonder Years very well. I think I remember Future Kevin saying he and Winnie "sealed the deal" in the episode's end, but in the epilogue he tells us what all happened in the lives of his family fromt he point the series ended until the point where he's narrating it to us. So did Kevin and Winnie end up getting married?
I keep thinking that if the show was still on, it would be 1990. So basically, the pics in this thread are of Winnie Cooper circa the late 80s.

This is actually going to be the theme from now on -- TrekBBS wives of the week. Next week will be Agent Richard07's wife Carey Lowell, and the week after his ex-wife Cindy Crawford.

Oh, wait, did I just reveal who he really is to everyone?

Ok.. wait a minute.. you're trying to tell me AgentRichard007 is Richard Gere?? Ok.. I find that REALLY hard to believe. LOL Would be rather cool but hard to believe.
Believe it! And the Dalai Lama is going to be Hunk of the Week!

That's because they're all straight-to-DVD horror flicks in order to justify Agent Richard07's choice of her as a GBOW.

Too funny. While I know it's not Richard Gere the idea of Richard Gere taking part in a GBOW threads for several years is rather amusing. I can see some woman coming up at some glam Hollywood party and slapping him cause he gave her a thumbs down!! LOL

Actually, sorry to disappoint, but I read awhile back where she said she would never do nude scenes. That may change now that she's done Maxim though.
