Re: What Are You Eating/Drinking Right Now?

Home brew Raspberry Green Tea, always Iced!

Earlier I ate 4 Turkey Hot Dogs in expectation that I was going to be up all day waiting for my new laptop to arrive, but instead of having energy to do anything I feel more tired. I don't normally eat so much unless I'm playing hockey and know I'm going to burn it all off. My new pre game ritual is 2 Double Cheeseburgers, which right before the game I feel like I'm going to explode, but at least I'm not passing out half way thru the game for lack of calories!

It's . . . green.

Actually, it looks very nice. What's in it?

Good question!- lemme see if I remember ()...

*juice of one lime
*one part Gin
*one part Vodka
*½ part coconut rum
*one part Cachaça
*dash of Angostura
*½ part green banana liqueur

-shake with ice.

ETA:
I forgot... it was a bit too bitter so I added a ½ part tripple sec! -that's what made it a perfect cocktail!

I just have been having shots of vodka all day. Pretty boring.

It actually was pretty good! -I now wonder if lemon and yellow banana liqueur would make a similarly satisfying cocktail

ETA:

It does! -though... I kinda better like the lime version

Oh it sounds good.

You should try it and then post on this and say if it's good.

And then I'll try it.

I'm rediscovering the wonders of alcohol this week.

While I've known 'the wonders of alcohol' since I was, oh, I dunno; 16 perhaps (when are you able to steal stuff from your or your friends parents lockers, or even buy it from places that weren't too into carding you (have to be 18 here)? It took me quite a number of years to find the wonders of cocktails!

The bitters and the tripple sec is the key! -fresh citrus-fruits is another important key
After that, it's just about mixing the good stuffs

I haven't drank in two years, pregnancy tends to curb that, plus I was never a huge drinker.

Okay, that's a lie, I was . . . kind of.

But I find this week, alcohol is needed. Lots of it.

And I am currently eating a deli sandwich, roast beef.

What is it called when you have a service for someone about to be cremated? -We had one of those today; for my mums best 'girl'friend, my ex-BF and one of my dads best friends ever...
After that, a couple of drinks were in order... I'm pretty cool now though, after dinner of 'smørrebrød' (aka: 'open Danish sandwiches' -which always come with beer and aquavit (2 cl drinks of ~ 40% vol. 'chasers')

I still needed a couple of drinks to 'come down'... these were what I invented

A wake?

I should know this, my dad was cremated. I think that's what it's called.

And they look good. Sad about the death though I remember when I was 14 I said I was going to create the Elixir of Life, still hasn't happened.

A 'wake' is the thing, but it doesn't contain the service, does it?

I STILL say "when I get rich and if I die"...
Is there any better way to love life and hate death?

I don't think it does.

I say "when" because I know it will happen, probably in a car accident.
But "when I get rich and if I die" are pretty good. I used to say that I'll live forever.
