Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) Discussion & Grading
IMDB lists lines like: Fred Krueger: I'm your boyfriend now, Nancy. Fred Krueger: [approaching Nancy] I'll kill you slow! Nancy: Come on, Freddy. Can't you catch me? Freddy Krueger: I'm going to split you in two. Nancy: Glenn? Where are you? Are you there? Freddy Krueger: [whispers] I'm here. As opposed to Nightmare 3: Freddy Krueger: I said, "Where's the fucking bourbon?" [decapitates mom] Freddy Krueger: You should listen to your mother. Freddy Krueger: This is it, Jennifer: your big break in TV. Jennifer Caulfield: [screams] Freddy Krueger: Welcome to prime time, bitch.

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) Discussion & Grading
If this topic had a poll, I'd give it a Poor. Not scary at all. Way too many jump scares, and the deaths weren't creative at all. I didn't care about any of the characters. At least the original had Johnny Depp. |

![]() Rorschach. John Conner, Smallville's Flash, Supernatural's Ruby, Twilight' Emmett, and the mom from Friday Night Lights. It was so damn distracting. They should have went with more unknowns. The only person I didn't know from another franchise was the girl that played Nancy. |

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) Discussion & Grading
Everything else was pretty shit really. Whoever cast Nancy should never work in film again. Poor actress placed in a watered-down version of the role. Not much imagination in it, and it came off as a lazy, by-the-numbers remake. Pointless. Rent the original instead, if you don't already own it.

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) Discussion & Grading
2nd, I thought Freddy's kills were way too quick and easy. That was the cool thing about the originals. Freddy at least toyed with his prey. 3rd, The way they started off the story with the blonde chick (who looked waay to old to be in High School) and then seemed to go from one character to the next as they were killed off didn't make sense. How did they figure out what was really going on. It was as if you were expected to figure that the last 2 characters were watching the movie with you. They dropped the ball big time on this aspect... Overall I give it a C- |

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) Discussion & Grading
The point is that your original representation of it as "Bad guy cracking one liners through the whole movie" isn't even an opinion, it's just plain false. He wasn't cracking one-liners, and as was repeated here, he barely had any lines at all. Your description fits the sequels, but not the original. As Greg Cox said to you then:
