'Cockpit' space action film in development from Jesse Griffith

unmade film but a trailer has been created:
Synopsis:
In 2103 mankind is at war with the Tarceds, a hostile alien race that can control our minds. Our brave pilots of the U.E.S. Navy holds them at bay at the outer edge of the galaxy. To bomb them from afar is to win. To see them is to fall under their control. Government agents are dispatched to the Starcraft Carriers to insure all pilots follow this rule of engagement.
Impressive trailer for the yet unmade scifi actioner COCKPIT
Director:Jesse Griffith Writer:Jesse Griffith

Stars:Ronny Cox, Hellena Schmied and Karl Champley

720p 1 minute length trailer:

It looks alright. It's a reasonable premise for a sci-fi action movie and, although I love Alien, I tend to be leery of the infinite number of 'grim horror spaceship' movies it's inspired... but I could definitely see this working.

Is this a fanfilm? Looks quite bad.

Storyline sounds like a mix between Space - Above and Beyond and Verhoeven's Starship Troopers.

edit
Not that fanfilms are bad. You know. Ah, nevermind.

Looks pretty silly to me. Probably won't be made into a feature film.

'Wing Commander' meets 'Aliens'. (Actually could be decent imo)

This looks quite good for a trailer obviously put together on a shoestring.

As I think Ebert has argued, it helps to judge projects while taking into account the resources, intent and target audience. "Fan films" themselves come in for both a great deal of praise and a great deal of derision, both appropriate and otherwise.
