Does this trailer on Vimeo work?

No, unfortunately. I think all streaming, and not just YouTube, is disabled. Oh, well. I'll just have to wait until we get back to port.

It's for the better to just ignore the AvP movies, but a subtle hint at Bishop would be nice nonetheless, even if it's just a quick demonstration of a synthetic crewmember's reaction speed.

I just hope the film has a solid ending. I do love the idea of keeping the door open for a sequel, but assuming they'll get one and not resolving everything could be a mistake. Although Ridley Scott does get the benefit of the doubt for the time being.

Kind of amazing that an Alien prequel can look this freakin cool and intense without even featuring any xenomorphs.

So...is Ridley Scott misdirecting us? Pretty sure I saw a facehugger de-clamp from Noomi Rapace's face.

Re: Prometheus: Ridley Scott returns to Sci-Fi

Man, it's so cool seeing Ridley's great sense of style brought back to the Alien universe. I just watched Aliens for the first time in awhile, and I never noticed before just how drab and generic the design was in that. There might be a few cool ships, but everything is so flat and plain, and looks like it could have come out of ANY scifi movie of the 80s. It doesn't really feel connected to Ridley's gritty, stylish universe at all.

And while I used to love them, now Cameron's xenomorphs seem a little TOO bug-like, with all their jumping and skittering around. Their ghostly, bio-mechanical appearance in Alien just looks so much cooler now.

I enjoy Aliens, but without a doubt Alien is the better film.

I hope it's not another bug hunt or swipe ar Starship Troopers. I saw a Galaxy Quest tenticle there for a minute being seen through a door. That is always very off setting.

As long as no one is making out with whatever is attached to the tentacle for laughs later on, I don't think there's anything to worry about.
