I have recently got into this ship to try out a full-blown escort command, and while I still pretty much lack the experience, I rather like the new play style, compared to cruisers

This is Lt Jack Orlando Carver. Using the Chromodynamic Armor and Type II Phaser, he killed 1,000 Borg in the starting scenario.

One of my biggest beef with ships in ST; Online is that the devs just slapped on windows textures in long rows on practically all Federation ships and didn't even put some effort into the deflector dishes (never-mind the unappealing dark lines around the saucers and all).

FYI theres a new Defiant varient based on the Odessey and Venture classes in the works
