Yes, some of those planets that look like gasgiants reflect the sunlight very harshly when you come from a certain angle.

Wow, I really wish my computer were fast enough to play this. I mean, my work computer is, but the last thing I need is to start playing it there.

Re: Your Star Trek Online Screenshots!

I just did the finale Episode for the Defari/Breen 'Weekly Episode' series; and was so impressed by the work of the enviromental artists that I wanted to post some screencaps from the 'Preserver planet':

A Preserver monument.

A strange energy source

A Preserver neutrino device

So, if I do the right combo on the console, will blue flame erupt?

That's cool if they are linking the Preservers to the race seen in the Chase. It's about time they tied up those kinds of loose ends!

That's never been a connection I'm happy with. The humaniod progenitors from the chase were around before earth developed life at all, while the preservers were around as recently as 1000 years ago. It's just too big a time gap.

I've always viewed them as analogous to the First Ones in B5. Just because they were around a long time ago doesn't mean that one or two of them couldn't pop back to tweak their experiment. I find that easier to cope with than a long line of unrelated advanced and/or all-powerful beings in Trek. If the Traveller is an agent of or member of their species, doesn't bother me a bit; if the Q are an off-shoot of the Organians that went down one particular evolutionary road, I can live with that too.

Beautiful Defera with my Sci Captain Syusaza enjoying the view.

Doubling as Captain and CMO

Old and new

Slipstream test run

Marching to war

Gorgeous ring planet on a Breen mission

next three are my KDF crew members in the order of Orion Gaila, my Ex-Changeling science officer, and the two half Klingon sisters one of them freed from the collective.

Deferi starmap riddle. in blue this would also make a great transporter effect I thinkm

The only time I managed to save all 3 Deferi patrol ships. After that they followed me around like puppys...

Fun fact: apparently is the game graphic realistic enough that Picasa suggests adding names to the persons on the "photos".

After an extended medical leave due to an unfortunate incident involving Borg nanoprobes and a Klingon aphrodisiac, Rear Admiral, Upper Half Roel Jallen grade 3 has returned to duty aboard the USS Amoenus Dianae.

Her current mission is to assist the Defari and seek out Breen threats where ever they may lay hidden.

Back to the Future (TOS Era Time Travel Mission Screencaps)

The latest Davidian Featured series just had a time travel episode where you're sent to a 23rd Century deepspace station. As a die hard TOS fan, I was amazed at what the STO Dev team did with the interiors and 23rd century (TOS Era) atmosphere. Here are a lot of screencaps of the station and other stuff; including encountering an 'old friend'.
