Awesome! I didn't realize they were going to be releasing it so soon. I wonder if this is going to be the final piece of bridging DLC released before ME3.

And yay, Hackett has a face now! I hope that means he'll have a more prominent role in ME3. Hackett was cool.

Anyone remember when the Cerberus Daily News was supposed to start up again? I *think* it was to be a week prior to the new DLC release so that would make it this Tuesday onwards, yes?

Yeah, it's a week before the DLC releases. Then it'll start up again two weeks before ME3 hits.

Yay, Hackett finally shows up in person. Which is nice since he's the only/one of the only Alliance military character(s) (depending on what you do with Anderson) who still trusts you.

Is Hackett a character from ME1? I've only played 2 and I don't recognize the name.

Yeah, he's from ME1. He's an Alliance admiral, voiced by Lance Henriksen, who gives you various assignments as you're exploring the galaxy.

I think Joker says it best as one of his messages comes in giving Shepard an assignment. "Message coming in... Big surprise, the alliance needs your help again!"

Yup. You also hear him right at the beginning talking to Udina about Shepard's background and at the end commanding the fleet at the Citadel. He's even mentioned in passing a few times in ME2 (I think you get an email from him about the Normandy crash site, plus there are some newsbites that mention him.) Also, if you've played Lair of the Shadow Broker, IIRC there's a bit where Liara gives Shepard his/her old dog tags, saying Hackett gave them to her.

If you do a quick search on youtube you should be able to find a little behind the scenes video of Henriksen recording some lines that might jog the memory.

It looks like this last DLC will be a solo mission. I was kind of hoping the Virmire Survivor would be in it.
