As for Trek literature, there's a whole subforum on this board devoted to it. Since you're a TOS fan, I'd recommend the Vanguard series which plays in the same era. Christopher Bennett's books Ex Machina (set shortly after the first movie) and The Buried Age (a tale of epic scope which takes place between Picard's loss of the Stargazer and his taking command of the Enterprise) are also great. There are many more great books but those should give you a good start.

Hello, I'm Surak of Vulcan (Or, just Surak) and I'm a pretty big TNG and DS9 fan, but I like all of the Trek series. I hope to get into some discussions and all.

I have to admit I never had any interest in Star Trek, it didn't appeal to me at all, I loved Star Wars but Trek just didn't seem like my thing.

Buuuuuuut then I happened to catch a TOS episode over the summer and was instantly and ridiculously obsessed. I've now seen every episode of TOS and the first 2 seasons of TNG and will desperately try to watch the rest of TNG as quickly as possible before moving onto the other incarnations.

There isn't much of an explanation to be honest lol I just like characters that have one letter as a name, like V from V for Vendetta, there's a guy in the new Pokemon games called N, there are other I'm sure. The one letter makes them quite mysterious, I find

Hello everyone! I am into Star Trek since I was a kid, when, raised by a trekkie uncle (who for instance named his small business "Enterprise"), I watched all of TOS, all the movies then available in my native tongue, part of TNG, and a bit of Voyager. During my adolescence I didn't cultivate this interest too much, keeping it just as a warm and familiar background, but in the last few months the passion came back with some strength, so I've decided to rewatch TOS and finally complete watching the other series. Of course, now I also have Internet, so why not having a trip into the trekker community?
Other than this, I watch a lot of different tv shows, play videogames, study Philosophy (basically Logic and Epistemology) and Neuroscience, and in general love sci-fi. So I guess I'll also infest the off-topic sections

EDIT: also, since English is not my first language, I preemptively apologize for any error I may make!
