It's a lot more detailed than I expected. Even aztec patterns on the saucer. It's actually a nice little display piece.

I got the same one at Best Buy. My only disappointment was that there wasn't a regular box inside the package.

Seriously, I just purchased it, but am sick as a dog right now and will wait until I feel better to unveil it... looks better than I expected.

I am happy I didn't get the Best Buy one for 39.99 with the badges. The ship looks way cooler, and 29.99--actually 24.99 with discount--is better on the wallet.

Well, the model comes cased in a plastic sleeve inside the cardboard sleeve, so technically you still have the dvd or BD case after you build the model, it's just not going to hold the discs as securely as the saucer of the model does.

But the saucer comes apart in half, so you could take the top of the saucer of the ship off and travel with it and the plastic/cardboard case if you really wanted to.

I bought mine at Target, but opted for the regular two disc release.

The enterprise version was $5 more, and honestly I think I just want a simple cased version that I can put on my self with all the other Trek dvds.

A) How did you get it a Best Buy when this is a Target exclusive?

B) Why would you expect a seperate case when the model itself is the case?
