Playmates ST XI Enterprise Modifications

Yesterday, I bought another Playmates Enterprise. It was only £5 because it had no box and had a note on it saying the lights don't work. But when I got it home, I tested it and they do work

But I was thinking of modifying it to make it more detailed. Including:
Mains power (static lights, drill holes for windows, possibly running lights)
Fixing the stupid Saucer angle
Painted details (Deflector, aztec pattern, Airbrushed weathering)
Saucer rim detail (Should be able to rig something up to put the lines there)
Any Ideas, thoughts?

I was thinking, instead of all of the changes you are planning to make, why no just build a new ship that makes sense instead of the JJprise. Did anyone ever figure out how big the JJprise is supposed to be?

^725m. It's the only size published (in the art book and on the bluray) and the one that fits the innards.

Anyway what's size got to do with pimping the model? Nothing.

How about kitbashing it into some new type of ship? A nuTrek Miranda, or a nuTrek version of the NX-01 Enterprise, or the Kelvin made of Enterprise parts.

That size makes me sick.

I would do some kitbashing, but i'm not good enough D: I can cut holes in stuff, but making new stuff is just too difficult :P allthough I do like the Idea of a new miranda class!
