Archer: "It has its moments.

Let me show you something."

Porthos is looking up, his tail wagging about.

Archer: "Keep the nose up."

We are in an empty Launch Bay*. Above the bomb bay doors marked '3' and '4', on the gantry running inbetween stands young Sim. He is handling the remote controls to Archer's model spacecraft. It's the same one we saw in 'Broken Bow', when he was young and with his Father.

"That's right."

The airbourne ship makes a turn to the right, before passing under the metal framework.

* Hmm. I wonder where the Shuttlepods are stored when not in use. Maybe both are in the other bay.

Sim: That feels better. My dad says I should be an Engineer. My mom thinks I should study architecture, but I want to do what you do, be a starship Captain. You know what's weird?

Sim: My parents call me Trip. Everyone here calls me Sim. Where's my Mom and Dad? Are they back on Earth?

Re: "Similitude" : Line-By-Line!

Archer: "That's a little difficult to answer."

Sim takes his eye off the model's controls, to stare at Archer. In doing so, one of its nacelles clip the handrail of a ladder, completely detaching. This sends the whole craft into a spin and it comes crashing down on the bay floor below.

Porthos barks at this, before rushing to the fallen toy. He stands guard over it as Sim and Archer slowly descend. They pet him while considering the damage done.

Archer: Nothing a little glue won't remedy. I crashed it plenty of times myself.

Sim hangs back, eyeing the curtain warily.

Sim: "Dr. Phlox says I'm not allowed to go in there."

Archer: "It's okay."

He pulls back the drape to reveal Trip still lying on the bio-bed.

The boy studies the comatose man in the biobed.

Sim: "He's Trip."
