Anyways, the Serbian cello virtuoso Ormoceras is back with a collection of tunes perfect for the portable player while you take a long walk enjoying what's left of the sun's power here in the autum...

Jina, like her predecessor Enya, has been making interesting music since the 90s, and this retrospective is a good example of her work, covering the period from 'By The Corrupt Few' to 'Covered Up By Paint'. Her excursion into Mongolian pop, while startling, wasn't widely accepted, and is represented by only one piece, "Good Doctor". Since this retrospective, she has moved into AI-generated band synthesis, with 'Know How To Live'.

Bad news: noted folk-rock pioneer Jimmy McDougall has completely sold out and recorded a feel-good children's album. This is a sad day for the music industry.

On the plus side, progressive Middle-Eastern rockers Puzar-Ashur III have recently released a new album as well; jam-packed with political commentary and some thought-provoking spiritual undertones, all with the group's highly-regarded trademark sound, this one-of-a-kind recording will leave you yearning for more. Order your copy today!

I dug up four more albums from my record collection, which seems to become more and more ecclectic each day.

Department of Justice (Northern Ireland) - Destruct. It Never Fails

Archie Reese - Hang the Little Ones

StarCon - Ineligible for Public Office

Newburgh Priory - On the Unreasonable Man

Some kind of pretentious indie-rock outfit. From Denmark.

^ How do they make those covers, BTW? What program do they use? I know where the images themselves come from, but how do they do the text?

^^^I use Photoshop. I don't know what other people are using.

You can do basic text in MS paint.

Speaking of album covers:

Talk about luck, that's twice now I've gotten an actual name instead of something silly.

Probably some pretentious faux-big band wannabe.

^ Skywalker & Bears, nice job!

Mr Laser Beam, I use Photoshop too, but only for tweaking blend effects for the text (shading, borders, font kerning). You could do a lot with just MS Paint and experiment with free fonts such as what you can find at free font sites like this one.

Just download the font, open your computer control panel, and the file named "Fonts", drag and drop the new (unzipped) font file into it, and it's all installed and ready to use in Paint or Word!

Happy designing.

I use Photoshop, too, but I couldn't figure out how to get the vertical text to work right. All the letters had gigantic spaces between them compared to the letters in the horizontal text. So I just rasterized the vertical text and moved all the letters into position manually.
