^ I guess you never heard the Duke of Wellington's remark that 'One may be born in a field but it does not make one a horse.' (referring to his being born in Ireland).

I'll give you the point on Reed though ...

***WAY*** too British. We don't want a captain to be THAT evil. This isn't an Imperial Star Destroyer we're talking about...
I thought British people were only evil if they talk in RP accent?
Americans don't know the difference. There are two types of British accents:

1) Evil.

2) Can't understand what they fuck they're saying.
AND...

3) Bond. James Bond.

Proves my point. When Bond isn't being evil, he's too boring for me to bother listening to.

Naveen Andrews, I like. He can use his British accent and play an evil captain. Enver Gjokai from Dollhouse has been incredibly versatile and engaging this whole season. He's played a war veteran with PTSD, a serial killer, a traitorus NSA mole, a scientist, a British playboy, a brainless party girl, a Russian, an Italian, and Topher.

John Cho. I don't even mean Sulu. John Cho, as Sulu, could easily carry the lead role on a new series. Same with Zoe Saldana actually.

James Bond wasn't in Star Trek...
Except on the holodeck on DS9--as played by one Bashir.

Julian Bashir.
