True Lies...

The TV series, starring Eliza Dushku as Dana Tasker following in her fathers footsteps and maybe Tom Arnold as Albert "Gib" Gibson in a mentor roll.

Never gonna happen, I know...I would watch though and I bet it would do better than Dollhouse in the ratings.

I know I'd take a look at it

Haven't watched the film for a while. I'll have to dig it out.

It would do even better if they recast the daughter with someone other then Dushku. I don't think it's any coincidence that the two best episodes of Dollhouse are the two episodes she was in the least.

Would Dushku have to replicate Jamie Lee Curtis's dance scene as part of her training? If so, I'm in.

No... I think I rather have nothing.

She is just eye candy, if you want eye candy watch porn.

Re: True Lies...

The show would atleast need Tom Arnold and hopefully a young actress that is really good.

Well James Cameron was considering a True Lies 2 and I said I'd see it so I'm sure I'd watch this too.

Tom Arnold is busy running a porn studio over on Sons of Anarchy. Pretty good at it too.

He's said that he would like to do it but he doesn't think that people would like a "action-comedy about middle eastern terrorists" in a post 9/11 world.

Better than Dollhouse, but a flop without Arnold.

For a while, I think that was true. Now, 8 years after 9/11, I think we can handle it.

If you think it's still too risky, try changing all the terrorists from Arabs into Germans. In the U.S., Germans will always be reliable, P.C.-proof movie bad guys.

I like the idea of a TV series. I don't think I would if it didn't have the same cast as the movie but Eliza Dushku's later fame is quite fortunate in this respect. I wonder why FOX didn't think of this when they first signed the production deal with Dushku. (Probably something to do with getting the rights from Cameron or something.)
