Ken Follett's World Without End

I've found out that the followup to Ken Follett's Pillars of the Earth miniseries is going to be airing on September 4th in Canada. I hear it starts on October 17th in the US. Loved reading and watching Pillars, and loved reading the sequel, so I'm very much looking forward to this.

Consequently, I'm currently reading Fall of Giants at the moment and very much enjoying it.

I only hope this adaptation will be more faithful to the book than Pillars Of The Earth.

The promos that have been running on Showcase look good. I'm planning to give this a look.

Well, umm.... saw the first episode and let me put it this way. I know Pillars had its problems but this so far makes it look like a piece of genius filmmaking. Keeping that in mind, I didn't find that the changes to Pillars were all that bad, as the integrity of the story was still there.

Well, second episode much much better than the first, to the point that it's a complete 180 in terms of quality. It's actually watchable now, entertaining and engaging. Never seen such a stark difference in quality from one episode to the next.
