Artist called "Kira Neris"

Something interesting I discovered today when a friend of mine (who is not a Trek fan, but loves downtempo and trip hop music) linked to a video of an artist on Facebook, called Kira Neris (sic). Normally I had to check them on google and I looked up the myspace page:

Apparently Kira Neris is a French guy from Strasbourg who's released one Nu-Jazz / House / Down-tempo album, and his myspace page says:

"Inspired by the character from Star Trek Deep Space Nine, he took the name 'Kira Neris' finding that there was correlation between his music's thought-provoking melancholy and the character's complex personality."
Treason, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.

Interesting. Nice music, too. That last track, "Shivering Waltz" reminded me quite a bit of some of the music from the soundtrack to "American Werewolf in London".
Want fanfic? You got it. PSGarak's fanfic at Ad Astra
