Re: Who disregards the continuity after the Kirk era?
![]() And I get blasted for it often enough, too. ![]() I've long held the view that over the years we've been seeing different alternate continuities. For me it goes something like this: TOS-TAS-TMP TWoK-TSFS-TVH-TFF-TUC and this continuity may be part of TNG-DS9-VOY-ENT And finally there's ST09. I will add that I think that something parallel to TWoK through TNG happened in the original TOS continuity only somewhat altered. In no way can I accept anything parallel with ENT in TOS' continuity. TOS' 21st and 22nd centuries were quite different.

Re: Who disregards the continuity after the Kirk era?
In my mind, not only did TNG+ not happen, but most of TWOK-TUC didn't happen, or didn't happen the same way as what we saw on screen. In fact, some of what we saw in TOS was wrong too, but mostly background stuff and organizational stuff.

Re: Who disregards the continuity after the Kirk era?
"Disregarding" everything that followed Kirk's era as "non-cannon" strikes me as going overboard. I don't particularly care for 19th century American history but I don't just pretend it didn't happen. Like it or not stuff did in fact come after the Kirk era. -Withers-

![]() Maybe I should have said, "Ahhhhhh personal canon. In my mind, not only did TNG+ not meta-happen, but most of TWOK-TUC didn't meta-happen, or didn't meta-happen the same way as what we saw on screen.
