at the thought that Chapel

 

was making advances toward Bones

 

. It seemed that every time

 

Bones came near, she tried

 

to get close to him

 

and that bothered the hell

 

out of him. He didn't

 

understand why she would always

 

try to ingratiate herself to

 

him when all he wanted

 

was bourbon, beans, and hundreds

 

of patients to look after.

 

He was a simple country

 

doctor with lots of interesting

 

stories to tell to anyone

 

with the patience to listen.
