I agree that the Canadian woods one would be more appropriate for Stargate overall, though I'd probably word it differently. Perhaps...

"Transporting you to the forests of Canada for over ten years."

Or even "Transporting you to the Canadian woods for over ten years." Either way, a 'the' really needs to be in there.

I voted for the woods one but the Enterprise line is good as well.

I didn't put a "the" in there no. "the" implies a specific location. Whereas "Canadian woods" is general... can be any woods in Canada.

I did wonder if woods was a very British word and it should have been forests though.

In that case, I'd use forests instead of woods. "Transporting you to Canadian forests for over ten years." It flows better.

This is all moot anyway, since it looks like the Enterprise line is gonna win.

It's not, but I tend to think of woods being much smaller than forests.

Forests is used more in Britain. I would have thought Woods was American

"Unnatural Selection" was the SG-1 episode where Carter said to O'Neill, "Sir, we can't call it the Enterprise."

Then, "Inferno" was the Atlantis episode where they find an Ancient warship called the Hippaforalkus. Col. Sheppard hates the name. Dr. McKay quickly tries to suggest another one before Col. Sheppard cuts him off, "And we're not calling it the Enterprise." That's when Col. Sheppard unilaterally names it the Orion during his next communique with the Deadalus.

The SG-1 episode titles were pretty generic for the sci-fi genre. They had so much overlap that I doubt that these two were specially selected for duplication.

You're probably right. However, I think there is some rule that if there's a particularly sucky Star Trek episode, the Stargate episode with the same name will be totally awesome! (SEE "Threshold" & "Meridian" for examples.)
