Funny stuff. They are actually casting for a movie version of A-team right now.

Re: Star Trek as The A-Team

Yes, they are and with Liam Neeson replacing George Peppard... I'll pass.

Even as a kid, I appreciated that The A-Team was a spoof of all those endless Vietnam revenge movies. A major motion picture needs to be an Action Comedy with the emphasis on Comedy. I've never laughed once at anything Liam Neeson starred in. He's pretty wooden and probably can't deliver lines tongue in cheek.

You know The A-Team would actually benefit from that Starsky and Hutch homage treatment, casting actors who can be the same versions of Howling Mad, Face, Smith and B.A. from the 1980's, while poking fun at the fashions. Updating them to be Gulf War or Iraq A.W.O.L.s just misses the point altogether and ditches that cool nostalgia factor even shows like Family Guy pick up on these days. It ceases to be about those real Soliders of Fortune and simply a Three Kings rip-off about Army buddies ripping off an invaded country and escaping with the loot.

So I've heard. It's not such a bad idea, really. I just hope they don't camp it up quite as much as the series did. Maybe just a little.

Re: Star Trek as The A-Team

There is NO ONE that can replace George Peppard as Hannibal unless they change the characters personality. The only one I can think of that would be close is maybe Billy Bob Thorton.

Not a bad suggestion! I've always enjoyed the Star Trek/A-Team mashup, very well done. Looking forward to what they have planned for the A-Team movie but hopefully they don't kill it. If the info on imdb is correct this is the new B.A. Barracus!

I've seen this so many times, but it never gets old. I love it. I'd be curious to see a TNG version.

Well, it's not the A-Team, but it's still pretty funny...
