Forbin, I love the thru-deck carrier section view. Do you do deck plans, too?

If so, might I suggest you contact Amarillo Design Bureau, the creators / publishers of Star Fleet Battles? They are looking for people who can do deckplans for ships in their game, for use in the Prime Directive role-play-game books. They have ported PD to the GURPS, D20 and D20M system, and are working with Mongoose Publishing to port it to Traveller. Mongoose wants a ton of deck plans in the core rulebooks; more plans that anybody has drafted up yet.

    Here's ADB's contact info site: http://www.starfleetgames.com/about.shtml

Disclaimer: I do not work for nor speak for ADB or Mongoose. I just play the game and sometimes submit ideas, and once in a great while they publish something I thought up. ;-)

Thanks, I have fiddled with a couple of single-deck example plans for my bashes, but I'm not smart enough to try to figure out EVERY deck in a ship. And I'm really not looking for a job. ;)

Yeah, I hear you there. I did one set of deck plans for "the smallest ship in the fleet", that being the Federation Police Cutter. I can't post the plans here or anywhere else on the WWWeb, for the will be published in a product later this year or early next year, but here's the ship in question:

Well, they're not going to HIRE anyone full-time or even part-time, but they will pay for completed projects. I can't say how much, but it's not a ton of money. A couple-few hundred bucks, not thousands and thousands.

By the way, I really love what you've done with the Coeur de Lion!

Publusr: Just to be clear, those links are NOT my work. That is the 3d model that Mongoose did to send to a 3d printer as the master to build the molds for the mini production. What I did was take that image and reverse-engineer a set of deck plans. One nice thing about the new Starline 2500 series of minis is all the ships are done in the same 1:3125 scale.

Here's a low-res clip of one-half of Deck Three from MY work.

Yes, that looks like *BLEEP*, but that's because of how Steve Cole had to take a TIFF and force it into the PDF. What was printed in Captain's Log #47 (that being, all of Deck Three) looks a lot better. The entire ship will be in a publication at some future date.

I've been following your work on the ADB Forums ever since you started this quite a while back and I'm looking forward to seeing your deck plans printed. :techman: Keep up the good work. What will be your next Challenge ?

Bernard: Remains to be seen. SVC asked me to think about doing the Armed Priority Transport, although I think its cousin the Armed Cutter might be more fun.

I was thinking about doing something like the USS Renner, just for my own enjoyment. http://www.cygnus-x1.net/links/lcars/uss-renner-class.php

VERY small. Considering the scale people I used in the model, it puts the length at 229 feet, width at 178.

The Conqueror is sexy. I find your solution to the internal arrangement of the cargo bay and engineering section quite elegant.

Forbin, Do you have the Coeur de Lion deck plans posted on your web site? I was looking for a larger version, but I can't find any links.

    Blessed be! :)

Nope, that IS the one I have on my site. I have some in my portfolio section:
    http://www.inpayne.com/portfolio/datasheets.html

I need to do a major update some day to put link them to the kitbash pages, but that would make sense.

I guess, like I said, I should make big ones available on my site. I used to actually sell A2 sized prints of the ones at the above link, but I soon discovered I hated being a "vendor." :). And them my large-format printer died. :(
