A British TV channel has finally picked up the Pay TV rights for Castle. UKTV's Alibi have got the rights and say it will be a major part of their Spring and Autumn line up. It's Alibi's first major US acquisition. Hopefully one of the Freeview channels will come along and pick up the free to air rights soon too.
They probably were waiting to see if it was going to fail or not. the first season only had like 10 episodes so there was a chance it would have crashed and burned. I'll stick to Bones because it's still better in it's current state.
I have too, Bones has no point anymore. However Castle is a fine show, but something just bores me even more than Bones.
Any similarities to Murder, She Wrote are minimal. Castle is a fun show with generally smart writing, appealing characters, and generally some of the most convoluted and offbeat murder mysteries on TV. It's closer to Moonlighting, but not as surreal.
Used to be UKTV Drama (I think), they renamed it Alibi since it consisted almost entirely of crime drama and murder mysteries.
Hooray! Our friends on the other side of the pond can finally watch a frivolous cop show about murder!
