Yes. Each mesh has a normal map applied to it, based off of a high polygon model I constructed along with the low polygon model. In addition, most surfaces have a paint-like normal/bump map applied, which is more apparent when close up to any one of the surfaces. (For an example of this look closely at the front of the transporter operator'a console in the screenshots)
Know what? I'm dying to see some of the secondary sets that were only rarely seen in TNG: the cargo bay, the sickbay, the Battle Bridge, and jefferies tubes/crawlways, the science lab. I also can't help but to want to see the venues extended to things I wish we could've seen: an airlock, a 22-man transporter, a torpedo room, a sidearms room. I can't wait to see your main bridge, though. (both TNG and GENERATIONS versions)
Those Transporter Room images are da bomb! Makes you feel like you're really there! And when I looked at the turbo lift, all I could think about was the confrontation between Riker and Shelby. Excellent!
It would also be fantastic to see the "Yesterday's Enterprise" Battleship Enterprise version of the Main Bridge, with the necessary low-lighting. And, just for the Hell of it, a "Mirror, Mirror" I.S.S. Enterprise-D version as well.
The Battle Bridge of the Enterprise-D sounds interesting to me (and you would probably have a blueprint to retro-construct the TMP Bridge from it, should you have the desire to revisit it). And I for one would really like to explore that futuristic panel on the floor. Probably something they forgot during final inspection (i.e. they didn't think the ship would go into battle on her maiden voyage...). Bob
No, that would be the person who also used Donny's images without permission. These 3D models and renders are amazing, Donny! Keep up the fantastic work!
It looks like some sort of filming equipment that crept into the frame on the left edge, between O'Brien and Troi.
Yes. But it doesn't look to me like a tripod or another item that would give it away as a 20th Century piece of something. Bob
YEAH! Tell us were download those! They look fantastic! I could spend like 2 hours just walking around the transporter room!
Unfortunately, I have abandoned this particular project for the time being. It is built with the Unreal 3 Engine, and since Unreal 4 has been released, I've been updating all my projects with that engine. Right now I'm focusing on the TOS and TMP era Enterprises. You can keep up with progress at the following thread: http://www.trekbbs.com/showthread.php?p=10508884#post10508884 In the future, I plan on revisiting the Enterprise D interiors.
