Maybe it's just me, but I don't see anything that seems to indicate Brubaker has some kind of issue with Marvel. It sounds to me like he thought WS was ending and so he took a new gig, and now he'll be to busy with it to work on Marvel stuff too.

Maybe he doesn't have a problem with editorial but it does seem strange to me that an apparent Architect doesn't have anything post "Winter Solider". Maybe that will change in the next weeks and months. I think Christos Gage is in the same boat once Avengers Academy concludes unless I'm mistaken. Don't think he has anything announced Marvel wise either.

I understand financial reasons, definitely. And I guess I understand the "his book" thing: I suppose nobody has ever done Birds of Prey in a way that really redefined it as their book rather than Simone's. At the same time, there was a time when Fantastic Four was Stan Lee's book ...

Awesome. I love how Slott has written and used Michael in "Amazing Spider-Man". Hopefully these two can keep up the momentum.

I'm behind on Spidey by a bit so not sure fully how he's been used and decided to only skim that article. I did catch something of Morbius being imprisoned on the Raft.
Did his appearing in ASM not bother with continuity of his use in Legion of Monsters where he was a member of the protectorate of Monsteropolis underneath Manhattan? Or did his ASM appearances make note of that?

Not really. Michael was revealed to be working at Horizons in secret for Max Mondell. This was made public during the recent Lizard arc. We first learned about this though during Spider-Island I believe as Reed assured Peter that they were working with someone who could be trusted. No mention was made of previous continuity, but that doesn't necessarily means it didn't happen either.

There was reference to something in Michael's past though...how he met Max in the first place. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with the Legion of Monsters though.

All New X-Men cover...first time we've seen SOME of the Phoenix Five post Avengers Vs X-Men in the Marvel Now books. Scott is not wearing his redesigned costume. Namor is absent as well, and another new mysterious character in the back ground.

Here's the full wrap around cover at the bottom of this article. Schism obviously seems to continue but with Storm joining the school as mentioned before and two new mystery characters.

Who's the blond with the sword? I'm not real familiar with the X-Men, but I do recognize all of the other returning character.

Killing off Cyclops would have been the perfect ending to AVSX, as well as a nice culmination of the past decade of storytelling, too. That's a shame.

I don't recognize the guy with the glasses in the green cardigan standing to the back of the first grouping with Magneto.

That's cause he's a brand new mystery character as I stated in my post. There are two of them. The girl standing with the school X-Men is the other one.
